Glossary terms
- Anchor day
- A fixed day of the month on which all renewals fire, regardless of original order date.
- Bizum
- Spanish mobile P2P payment, available at checkout via Redsys. Direct payment only — Bizum has no native recurring yet. When it launches, we'll ship it in the plugin.
- Dunning
- Process of recovering failed payments via retries and customer outreach.
- HPOS
- High-Performance Order Storage. WooCommerce 8.2+ feature using custom tables instead of posts.
- MIT flag
- Merchant-Initiated Transaction marker for SCA exemption on recurring renewals.
- PSD2 Light
- Spanish SCA implementation that allows MIT exemption for recurring transactions under specific rules.
- Redsys
- Spanish payment processor used by most retail banks for card processing.
- Retention discount
- Automatic price reduction applied after a customer reaches N renewals.
- Token
- Stored payment credential used by the gateway to charge the customer on renewal.
